Blush Novelties Exposed Nocturnal Bullet Vibrator Review
I have been writing about adult products in some capacity for over ten years now, so it isn’t very often that a sex toy truly surprises me any more.
Well.
This one did!
Let me tell you, the Blush Novelties Exposed Nocturnal Bullet has absolutely no business being this good. When turned it on for the first time, I actually said, “What the actual fuck?!” out loud.
So, what’s the deal?
The Exposed Nocturnal Bullet is a perfectly inconspicuous little toy in the vast ocean of mediocre bullet vibrators on the market. If it hadn’t been recommended to me, I would have totally passed it by. Why?
Well, for starters, the price.
Of course I believe sex toys should be accessible to any pocket. For some folks, particularly with physical disabilities, or who struggle with any other method of self pleasure for whatever reason, they are not a luxury but necessity. However, from my pretty extensive experience, product quality and, in the case of vibrating toys, power are worth paying for. I do not bat an eyelid at decent sex toys retailing £50-£100 and upwards.
The Exposed Nocturnal Bullet is extremely modestly priced at £26.99.
Fresh out of its packaging, you can kind of tell why. The finish on mine is not perfect, and it even had some small scratches to the surface before I even used it. It does not look like a luxury product to me, because well, it isn’t.
And that’s where the complaints end
After turning the toy on, I immediately stopped caring about what it looked like.
The vibrations of the Nocturnal Bullet are possibly the strongest and rumbliest I have ever experienced from a bullet of this size. It blows my ride-or-die Lovehoney Desire Bullet completely out of the water and gives the iconic We-Vibe Tango a run for its money. I rarely have to go past the second setting but there are five constant vibration speeds, should you need to, and five patterns, if you like ’em.
I really like the size of the Nocturnal Bullet. It is larger than ‘standard’ bullets which make it more comfortable for me to hold. The smooth plastic doesn’t offer much grip though which is problematic if there is an excess of lube involved, but for the most part this is not an issue for me.
It is rechargeable via the included USB charger and attaches to the base of the toy magnetically. It’s not the strongest connection, but it doesn’t suck as much as others I have tried in the past! *cough* Looking at you, Tango *cough*
The base where the buttons are is silicone…. What was that? Yes, you heard me: BUTTONS!
Most bullet vibes operate via a single button interface. They just have one button that serves to turn them on and off, and to cycle through the speeds and/or pattern settings. The Nocturnal Bullet has TWO buttons! A ‘+’ and a ‘-‘ which means, if you skip past your favourite setting, you can just go back rather than either cycle through all the other settings until you get back to the one you wants, or turn the toy off and back on again.
However, the execution is quite flawed – the buttons are very small and hard to distinguish both by feel and sight. I find it to be a straight 50/50 chance whether or not you press the right button. To be honest, after much soul searching, I admit I would probably prefer it just to have a classic single button.
Overall
So it’s not a super fancy, luxury product and the build quality isn’t quite up to my usual standard, but who cares.
I am so excited to have discovered this little toy.
The power is amazing and I’m so pleased to be able to recommend something so accessibly priced.
